He didn't break my heart
He took it
Squeezed out the last drop of love
Stepped on it
Left it on the floor
Picked it up
Just before it died
Cardiac massage
Bleeding, barely beating
He didn't break my heart
He kept it in his pocket
for another day
When he needed the juice of love
A heart on life support
Infected love

It is torn, crooked, and twisted.
It hangs to one side open to more punishment.
It does not beat a normal rhythm,
my broken
Shall we set our minds a drift
