“My Eyes”
My eyes are sore from all of the disasters in the world. . .
It’s as if no one sees what I have seized for the prevention of such turmoil.
Keep in mind- a disaster does not have to be global. . .
A senseless mind is one of a kind and without a doubt- you must remain hopeful.
My eyes see sisters against sisters, brothers against brothers, children against
their mothers and countless others. . .
Though you rarely see fathers against daughters- it happens.
Fake friends against true friends. . .
When will it end?
The process of love, peace and happiness is slow and to be determined. . .
Change is sure to come and that’s the direction to flow.
My eyes are somehow connected to my brain- it’s hard to explain. . .
But that’s how I know- the brightest and the best will clearly show.
Perseverance is one valuable key to success- so you should stay strong. . .
Always leave room for error in case something goes wrong.
I can see the smile I place on another’s face. . .
I view it as a condition for entrance into the Pearly Gates- just in case.
All the while- having ice cream with my cake. . .
But of course, at least I’m not fake.
Battling with the bulls. . .
In my eyes- is just one big mistake!
You’ll love me or hate me.
In my eyes- that’s the best way to be. . .
Sticks and stones may even break my bones-
but words, words will never hurt me.
If I should die before I open my eyes- then God,
God please save me!
