So many video game sites, so very little time. With all of the places that are vying for our attention, it's difficult to know where to go for a good casual game romp. We want something that is easy to use as well as being a place we can quickly get into a game. These three sites are all easy to navigate, as well as having a lot of extra non-game perks to play with.
Kongregate.com is a site with so many games on it that it would take weeks to play them all. Designers and developers submit their games to the site, and they are played, rated and discussed. For those who would upload games, there are contests for the highest ranked during the week. For the ones who would play the games, there are badges that one can get, special cards that can be won, and points that can be earned for games that are played. There's a delicious cornucopia, too, having titles from all genres – from tower defense to RPGs to things unidentifiable.
Pogo.com is a pay site that has a very robust free side to it. It has badges and trophies that can be won off of the various offerings, and, there's a choice of anything from canasta to jigsaw puzzles. Tokens, which are used to enter cash sweepstakes and prize drawings, can be earned on all of the games that they have available. While one gets the 'regular guy' sensation from the designers at Kongregate, the games on Pogo are all polished to a sparkle.
Big Fish Games' online section is a mixture of the two. They have exclusive offerings and silly games. They have a large section of downloadable games, but there is quite the catalog in their online section as well. For those who need their quick fix of Match 3 or Hidden Object, this is the place. Big Fish pursues both quantity and variety within their games, figuring that there's something for everyone. It's one of those places that's quite the joy to hang one's hat at.
There is something for everyone hidden within these sites. If you're wanting to put together a jigsaw puzzle, Jigsaw Detective might be right for you. If you want a bit of tower defense, there's always Desktop TD Pro. An exclusive Match-3 game on the Big Fish site is Unwell Mel, where you're responsible for curing this perpetually sick individual. Combined, these three sites make up the best gaming sites on the web.
