An interesting study revealed that only 10 percent of people with diabetes had it because of genetic factors. When gentics played a direct role, only a fraction fell in the type 1 category. The majority of diabetes cases, type 2, developed it due to certain lifestyle factors. Causes of diabetes can stem from a wide range of sources such as:
*Genetic
*Stress and anxiety
*High-carb diet
*Obesity
*Nutrional deficiency
*Lack of exercise or activity
*Specified disease that interrupts the function of the pancreas
*Malfunction of the adrenal glands
Most people's diabetes is not only treatable but in many cases reversible. The key often when controlling diabetes is to eat foods that control blood sugar spikes from occurring. Empty carbs only serve to do the opposite. Empty carbohydrates stimulate weight gain and raise blood sugar quickly, that aggravate diabetes. High-glycemic snacks like soft drinks, candy, cakes and "white" carbs such as white bread, pretzels, and donuts, to name a few, should for the most part be avoided. On the other hand, healthful carbs, include not just fiber-rich vegetables, but also unsweetened oatmeal, chickpeas, lentils, strawberries, apples, etc., all of which are significantly better to include in a diabetic's diet.
Some excellent remedies to control and help diabetes are found from natural sources. They include:
*Fenugreek
*Bitter Melon
*Cinnamon: Just one-half teaspoon of cinnamon a day may significantly reduce sugar levels in diabetics. This effect can be produced by soaking a cinnamon stick in your hot tea and will benefit millions of non-diabetics who have blood sugar problems but are not even aware of them yet.
*Soybeans: soybeans are loaded with proteins, minerals and vitamins and are viewed as being extremely favorable for diabetic patients to eat on a regular basis.
*Amla(Indian Gooseberry)
*Apple Cider Vinegar: ingesting just 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar before a high-carb meal helps improve insulin sensitivity in people with type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance.
In addition, eating vegetables such as broccoli or cauliflower can greatly reduce health issues when only consuming less than 3 servings per day, according to the Harvard School of Public Health. Taking small steps to improve overall health as seen in many cases, directly involves food consumption . Eating sensibly will definitely reduce the risks of complications associated with diabetes in the long term, by practicing moderation when consuming meals, and increasing cruciferous vegetables and healthy carbs in the diet every day.
