Above her marbled frame the incense burns;
her wretched death has made our souls to yearn
she have but one more moment, here, with life
and cut this foul damnation like a knife.
Too vibrant for the vastness of the void
where God's eternal image is destroyed
in vacuous and vacant death; consigned
where souls of youthful beauty are aligned.
The luster of her casket shines for all
to view within this sacred, hallowed hall.
The ending of a life now come and gone,
no more to hear the music of her song.
These salt-tears flowing free from bloodshot eyes
do bite with bitter pain through mournful cries
for one so young to be so still in death;
to taste no more sweet life's redemtive breath.
Her eulogy too short as were her days
upon this earth to then have plucked away
the spark of life within a soul undone,
extracting tears of pain from everyone.
I say goodbye with heavy heart and mind,
in search of reason I will never find.
Did God take this young life without remorse
to prove He can exert such awesome force?
There is great bitterness in my goodbye;
not for this child alone do I now cry
but curse the nature of existence whole
for claiming one more youthful, lovely soul.

A beautiful funeral,
all attendees agree.
No need to be sad,
now her spirit is free
A true celebration
of a life well spent.

There is not enough room

An absence well noticed by those that are dear
