Trust.  One of the hardest things to gain within any type of relationship.  It can be very easily to gain and just as easily lost.  There is a definite connection between probability and trust within relationships because trust is an important factor in any type of relationship and any imbalance in a person’s views, actions, or words, leads back to the issue of their integrity as a person.

My main concern is with romantic relationships.  When either meeting someone for the first time, or having been with someone for a while, there is always a constant struggle with trust issues within any relationship.  A very big factor within relationships today has to do with the invention and widespread use of different online social networking sites.  These sights are available to millions of people all over and can be shared by people that you have never even met before.  These sights ties in very tightly, the connection with probability.  This increases the potential availability and/or chance for one to deviate from the norm within their relationship.  These variables usually consist of cheating, lying, giving false or personal information online, and bad talking. 

Another variable that proves further the connection between probability and trust relationships has to do with the partner’s previous relationship experiences.  For example, when starting a new romantic/dating relationship, if one has been in a relationship that has included one of the following variables stated above, he or she will be more likely to expect the probability of one to deviate and more reluctant to gain trust from the other partner.  This happens with both men and women in all different types of relationships.  A contributing catalyst again in this, especially with younger adults, is these social networking websites.  These websites create a very small world for a very large amount of people all over the world.  It is easier than ever to know what people are up to in almost a 24/7 basis with the accessibility of the Internet and cell phone networks almost being standard on any network. 

The best solution:  always be truthful and be yourself.  If you have nothing to hide from the other, you have nothing to worry about.  Trust can make or break relationships so quickly and is why it is such a contributing factor in any type of relationship whether it is platonic, romantic, and even business.  With the ever growing success of different social networking websites and its growing availability in different wireless devices, the connection between probability and trust within relationships will continue to increase in its success, but consequently will create a giant decrease in the number of successful and truly trustworthy relationships.
