There are many possibilities for stay at home mums to earn extra money. The sort of job or jobs you decide to do with depend on the amount of time you have to dedicate to the tasks involved, how much you'd like to earn and the skills you have. What ever job you pick, make sure that it is a genuine offer. There are numerous scams out there just waiting to take advantage of you.

With the launch of the World Wide Web, options for stay at home mums have increased greatly. Here's a few worth trying:

Blogs - Blogging is a great way to earn some extra cash. One of the easiest ways to do this is to set up a blog and connect it with affiliate programmes like adsense and amazon associates. You will earn money for displaying their adverts on you blog on a per click basis. As a mum an obvious topic to blog about is parenting. Share your tips and advice with other mums and earn some money along the way.

Twitter - You've probably heard of twitter.com. It's currently the number one social media site. You have 140 characters to update your status with. Why not put them to good use by being paid to post ads. There are lots of companies offering money for sponsored adverts on twitter. One that I personally use is https://app.sponsoredtweets.com/.  You pick how much you want to get paid per tweet and just write a simple, 140 character, status update to promote sponsors as the offers come in. The recommended amount per tweet will depend on the number of followers you have and how much interaction takes place on your twitter account. Most start out at about $1.00 per tweet. You can earn extra when a tweeter signs up using one of your referral links or badges. You will receive 10% of SponsoredTweets portion of revenue for each successful transaction that Tweeter makes. If you sign up an Advertiser you will earn 5% of Sponsored Tweets earnings for each transaction they make.

Become a freelance writer - here you have several sub-options:

Write for content websites e.g. helium.com or demandstudios.com You write short articles about the topics that interest you most and get paid per click when people read your article.

Write e-books - An e-book is basically just a pdf file that can easily be made using programmes like Adobe Acrobat. You can then sell them on your website or blog.

Write articles for print magazines and ezines. You might even get lucky and end up with a regular column.

Write fillers for magazines, websites and ezines. A filler is usually between 20 and 200 words
