I sink into the depths of my armchair.
The fire cracks and glows.
With legs up,
time to sup,
warm coco; forget woes.
I smile into my book. I’m somewhere new;
the pages carry me.
My mind soars
to far shores
like a kite, flying free.
My eyelids begin to heave and to fall.
Tiredness- with arms outstretched-
is now here.
I adhere.
Dreams are already etched
