Poetry: My lost love

by Jerry Thomas

Created on: February 18, 2010

Hello

I want to say something clever, but I am speechless

. I sit at my computer, but the words will not come.

I feel that you are standing over me, motionless.

Silently you stare, wondering, where I am coming from.

Love it seems is a huge rock, laying next to the beach

. The tide comes in, goes out so endlessly.

So you stand there , silently out of reach.

You grow cold, you warm up so senselessly.

Are you aware that I talk, I listen, no response?

I am standing in a crowd, that I can not hear or see.

You know I must go home, it’s getting dark by the hour

. To my house on the beach, overlooking the sea.

I stare back through the fog, in the dark of the night.

The moon shines on your, lovely stone so cold and yet so free

Death yes it’s painful for the living and the dead

. I just can't remove the voices in my head.  .... sleep dear one.

I want to say something clever, but I am speechless.

I sit at my computer, but the words will not come.

I feel that you are standing over me, motionless.

Silently you stare, wondering, where I am coming from. ...sleep dear one.
