Of course you should throw a baby shower for a second child! A baby shower is a wonderful and joyous occasion where friends and family can come together and celebrate both mother and child to be. Is the fact that it is a second child any less special? Not at all! There are many benefits to having a baby shower, here are a few

Celebration of life

During a baby shower even with all the games and gifts there is one central them and that is the unborn child. This is a celebration of this little boy/girl where all the friends and family that will be around to love and nurture them can come together with well wishes and blessings. The mother is surrounded by people that she knows she can count on to help her make this baby into the healthy, happy adult they know they can be.

Calming evening for mom

A baby shower can also be very calming to the mother. During this event mom doesn't have to worry about the aches and pains shes gone through the past few months or the pains she will be experiencing in the coming months. She is able to play games, eat good food and talk about how wonderful her life will be once this new baby arrives. This is a time where mom also knows she will be receiving gifts to help finalize anything she may need such as clothing or toys.

Extra supplies and gifts

Possibly one of the most exciting times of the baby shower is getting to open all the gifts. Cute little clothing is just the start! Maybe some bottles and toys, digging a bit more maybe you've got a new stroller in there somewhere! Whatever it is that you've got in your pile its sure to be helpful when your new little bundle of joy arrives. 

Helpful for 1st child

More than anything a baby shower for a second child can be a helpful event for the first child! This can be a time where baby #1 can really wrap their head around what will be happening in the next few months and will be able to see that even tho there will be a second baby, their family still loves and adores them just the same.

Why not have a baby shower for a second child? It can be an exciting and enlightening event for all involved!
