Unlike traditional gas and electric cars the new Chevy Volt will take drivers beyond the power of battery and gasoline.

The Chevy Volt is arguably the most fuel efficient car on today''s market. This plug in hybrid car is making quite a lasting impression in today's automotive world. The Chevy Volt allows drivers to experience an electric motor that can get up to 40 miles with just one charge. Then the  4-cylinder gas motor can take passengers an additional 300 miles with an easy crossover train from battery to gas motor.

The Chevy Volt is a mid-size 5-door hatchback sedan with a gas and battery powered motor. For around $40,000 the Volt comes with standard features to include: a glass sunroof, dual-climate controls, leather interior, blue tooth and On Star Telecommunication features. Standard safety features include: back up cameras, dual airbags, and stability controls. There are add on safety and comfort features available which can raise the price of the Volt. With a hefty already consumers beware that adding features not already available on the factory model will cost them somewhere in the price range between $45,000 and some packages can make your Volt price sky rocket to around $52,000.

The Chevy Volt is revolutionizing the automobile world yet it too comes with a few flaws. When turning a corner in the Volt drivers will experience a nose-heavy feeling, and does not offer rear seat passengers the comfort of an armrest.

For consumers the Chevy Volt has been noted for questionable value when compared to other hybrid cars in its class.

The Chevy Volt has a very sleek and stylish look and offers many safety and add on features as you see in many luxury cars on today's market. However, the Volt is one of the few hybrid cars that has the plug in battery feature. Drivers will notice significant savings on their fuel price when taking advantage of the volts battery capabilities.

The Volt is revolutionizing the automobile world. For a hefty price consumers experience a powerful motor ran both by gasoline and electric that will get you where you need to be without the hassle when you crossover from electric to gas. The question is are battery powered automobiles just a fad or are they the wave of the future? Look for the new Chevy Volt due to hit the automobile market in late fall of 2010.
