For those that have no idea who Clay Aiken is, here is a quick biography on the artist. Clay Aiken was the runner up on the second season of American Idol back in 2003.  Between October 2003 and May 2008 he released four albums. His first album Measure of a Man sold 613,000 copies in its first week of release, it was the highest selling debut for a solo artist in 10 years and also the best selling debut of any American Idol contestant to date.  Not bad for a boy from Raleigh, North Carolina. Clay was born Clayton Holmes Grissom on November 30, 1978.  He changed his name to Aiken, his grandfather's last name, when he was 19 years old.  Grissom was the name of Clay's estranged father and he no longer wanted to keep it.

For all the Clay Aiken fans that think he has dropped of the radar nothing could be further from the truth.  After coming out to the public two years ago and confessing that he is gay, Clay Aiken spent the year busy with a Broadway play, starring as Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot and he also had a baby boy named Parker with his mate.  Clay and his longtime best friend music producer Jaymes Foster had the baby via in vitro fertilization and Parker was born on August 8th 2008. Clay came out to his mother in 2004 and said that although she was very supportive and comforting, she was still getting used to the idea even now.
