Texas is a large state with even larger adventures awaiting. In addition to rodeos, ranches and big city life, Texas has many zip line, or canopy tour destinations. Canopy tours, also called Zip Line Tours, appeal to adrenaline junkies and nature lovers alike. Texas possesses a number of canopy tours throughout the state. Most Texas canopy tours require participants to be of good general health, weigh between 70 and 250 pounds, and be able to climb stairs. Children ages 10 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent.
Georgetown Challenge Course
The Georgetown Challenge Course, located in Georgetown, Texas, is used primarily for team-building activities by corporations. In addition to team-building exercises, the facility offers rock climbing, repelling and zip lines. Georgetown Challenge Course is open year round by appointment.

Cypress Valley Canopy Tours
Located just 30 miles from downtown Austin, Cypress Valley Canopy Tours is the most famous canopy tour course in Texas. With zip lines stretching throughout tall Cypress trees, this canopy tour is one of the most beautiful in the United States. There are three different tours available. The Canopy Tour is has the longest zip line area at 350 feet. The Canopy Challenge takes guests through sky bridges and canopy challenge events such as strength and balance exercises. The Sunrise Birding Tour takes guests through a tour of the trees and the local bird life at sunrise with the help of a local wildlife biologist.

Wimberly Zipline Adventures
This central Texas zip-line course offers eight zip lines, a walking tour and 15 miles of views. You can travel on zip lines ranging from 250 feet to over 850 feet, making the complete tour almost 3/4 of a mile long! Tours last between 11/2 to 2 hours and take your flying through the air at over 30 miles per hour.
