Poetry: America's new hope

AMERICA! SONNET #50

I have always had great expectations

That the United States would lead the way,

As an example to other nations-

Equality and freedom on display.

Though Americans face many problems

Based on greed, anger and stupidity,

As it says in our national anthem,

America is the home of the free.

We're free to pursue the great dream of peace.

Free to spread the Law as our foundation,

Open a new age whose flow will not cease.

We propagate the Law of causation.

It is our pledge, a new order to make,

Ere the world makes a nuclear mistake.
