Through the eyes of a child.
Of what age it does not matter.
For one being small looking out.
To the sights and sounds
Can be a hundred feet tall.
Opposed to the giants I see
I am so glad to be a child.
So things are much simpler to grasp.
Frightened of becoming ten feet tall.
To most this is quit scary
When I see what giants do.
At first you see they cuddle us with love.
Holding us when the heart is ever so small.
But over time it is bad as we become older.
That being seen from my neighbors yard.
Just ahead on top of the fence.
To my friends
Mommy hit him
Until he was clean out of sight
This is why I wish to remain small.

Frightening

skin is just skin
and speaks not a word
of the person within
Race is what happens
on the playground
The Ocean In Her Eyes
when I stand
where Earth meets Sky,
waves reaching the shore
to tickle my toes
I am bespelled
