Destiny: Some see it as Bright but we others know it’s a fight.
Oh the crimes we commit,
That we never knew we did
Oh those sins of the father,
Fall back on us again and again
To shed a light upon those crimes we never knew we did
A man beat his wife,
And ignored his children who had this in their sight
The son grew up to be a fighter
And never knew how to treat a woman right
The daughter was drawn to men
Who defiled her love along with her sad, sad face.
A man who swore he was all for family
They were his treasures, each member one and all
He told them often, even daily of his love
What had he done wrong?
This he wondered while sipping his tenth beer and giving
The sexy waitress a leer.
His wife had long left him,
For a man who couldn’t even hold a job
His children were grown and did not call
His heart broke with shame for they were always in some kind of trouble
None were anything to write home about if he’d been inclined
He recalled he hated his own father so writing needn’t be a bother.
Once again he wondered what he had done wrong,
He was old fashioned and raised his family as he had been
No crazy new age mess,
Everyone knew that the old means was best
That man felt unloved and unappreciated,
When alone let sobs escape his breast
Oh those crimes we commit that we never even knew we did.

Poetry: Inevitable
"If ever there comes
A time my dear
When life is calm
And my mind is clear
Remind me to tell you
How much I fear
The time
by Shaheen Darr
Life is made for living
Every moment a role is being fulfilled
Sometimes it's a parent, sometimes it's a child
Maybe a ruler
It is inevitable that life has a beginning and an end
That our journey begins before birth
That after we are gone our
How many misty mornings will we see dawn's light?
How many stars will be left to twinkle bright?
Or will they just give up
Inevitable
Life and death an inevitable condition
With acts of varied running contrition
A life of misery for some
For others
