Sad to say, there is a certain connection between wealth and health. Wealthy people are more able to take care of their health simply because they have the money to pay good doctors, and are more educated about how to take care of their bodies, such as eating nutritious food, exercising, etc. And needless to say, the wealthy people are the ones that are able to buy these nutritious food and the gym memberships.
People who are poorer, or of a low income group, don't often have all the medical benefits given to them, because they could be unemployed or not educated. These people also don't always have the money to buy food that is good for them, often times relying on handouts or cheap alternatives (such as instant food or junk food). Also poor people tend to steer towards trouble in their quest to get money, and this could mean selling drugs or illegal substances, and often times, they would become consumers themselves. So this just paints a bleaker picture for the health of these people.
On the other hand, however, wealth can also equate to poor health. The wealthier you are, the more money you have to spend on vices or drugs that are bad for you and may eventually kill you. For example, if you have money to buy cigarettes, you'll become a smoker. Or if you have money to buy alcohol, you could become a drinker, or worse still, an alcoholic. Drugs could come in the picture too at some stage among wealthy people. So when seen in this perspective, wealth equates to poor health.
