How to accept aging, sickness and the possibility of death

Even the title of this article is misleading.  It is not the possibility of death as misworded, it should read the inevitability of death.

We do not need to accept aging or sickness.  They are an inevitable part of life.  When something just is, there is no room for acceptance or rejection.

We begin right at birth to watch the deterioration of the human body.  It is designed to age, have sickness and prepare to die.

The only unwelcome deaths are those that occur, not from sickness or age, but from sickness in youth or accidents.  There is also the possibility of death from  one's own hand.  And it is only our own minds that can not accept that a full and complete life has been lived by those cut short in span.

When we have come to terms with our own bodies, we will see the inevitable aging process.  We can slow it down and some even believe we can halt it, but inevitably the body decays.  It is a part of its nature.  The cells are constantly replacing themselves.  That is the fact of the body's existence.

It is only our mind that wants to see some way of fighting the inevitable progress of the human body.  Science has been working on anti-aging potions since Ponce deLeon searched for the fountain of youth in America.  It is based on a lack of understanding of the life span that is alloted each and every body.

Yes, I think somewhere it is written the life span of the individual.  Some have even come to the brink of death and decided to come back to life.  There appears to have been some choice in the matter.  But inevitably the body will age, suffer, die as a part of its usual progression.

When something is inevitable, there is no room to not accept the progression.  The secret to a well lived life is to see all things as an adventure to be lived so that love is the key to all events that occur.  It is important to accept ourselves, then others in this scheme of living and loving.  In that way the inevitability of the progress of the human body can be acceptable to our whole body, mind, spirit balance.
