What distinguishes the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna is the ability to move the second row seating. The removal of the second row seating is what has consumers choosing the Odyssey over the Sienna.

The Odyssey has light weight, simple to remove second row seats. So simple it can be done by an average teenager. Once you remove the second row seating area you will have accessibility to the third-row seating from the side door. Some consumers say this is a determining factor when buying a minivan.

However, the Sienna comes with second row reclining captains chairs. These seats are also removable but, they require more effort then that in the Odyssey.
