Flowing back and forth
One thing at a time,
Many all at once
Changing, shifting,
Indifferent and aloof
Holding, caring,
Tied tightly ‘cross the chest
Something new,
Something happy,
Something bruised,
Something gone
Another effort,
Another resolve,
Something still to come . . .
