Ideas on ridding the world of terrorism

The very notion of ridding the world of terrorism is laughable and implausible. As long as people feel repressed and can find an outlet only in violence, terrorism will prevail.

The subject could be more aptly read as "Ideas on ridding the world of Islamic Extremist terrorism", since that is the obvious innuendo. The ideology of Islamic Extremist, and all extremists in the world, has been distorted in harsh and dangerous ways. Those involved believe a sick and distorted version of truth that is inalterable and far from the actual truth. Using the beliefs of Islam as our guide of study is easiest since it is foremost in the public eye. The use of Islam as an example is not intended to demonize the religion, keep in mind that many hundreds of thousands have died in the name of the Christian God (two Crusades, not to mention a holocaust). Islam is a religion of peace, understanding and equality, much like Christianity and Judaism. All three are from descendant from the 12 tribes of Abraham, according to religious records, thus claiming identical ancestry and naming the same deity, although by different names. The conflict comes when the teachings of these holy documents is perverted and misconstrued.

The Koran states that Mohamed did use violence to spread the word of Islam, but in no way does the Koran state to kill all infidels. That ideology was interpreted by overzealous clerics preaching half truths and deceptions. These people believe the way that America as a whole behaves is Godless, which is not a far cry from the truth. Middle Eastern law is heavily dictated by religious doctrine, and adheres to strict guidelines, unlike the ever slacking laws of the United States. Abortion is not an issue in the Middle East, neither is Gay Marriage, or the separation of Church and State. These things simply do not exist in Middle Eastern politics. We need to understand the basic mindset of the average Muslim man or woman to see that the impression we as Americans create is a decadent, Godless heathen culture. Take that unsavory image and skew it with fundamentalism, and you get a volatile situation.

Getting rid of the idea of terrorism would call for a revamping of the religious institutions throughout America. This is obviously out of the question since our religious organizations cannot even agree. We are targets for terrorism because we are infidels, we do not believe in the Almighty God/Allah. Therein lies the problem, we as Americans believe in our inalienable rights,
