Hands down, the answer is yes. Why would anyone think of Santa in a bad way? How could anyone think believing in him is wrong? Santa Claus might be a myth, but why take it away from the kids? They should have a right to believe in Santa Claus, even if only to add to their creative minds. Santa is just as special as fables and fairytales. So he should be allowed to remain a part of our children's young lives as they are growing up.

Understand if in some way, shape, or form Santa Claus was harmful or violent then there would be a reason to keep him from our kids. Yet he is happy, jolly, gentle, and full of love for toys and brings gifts once a year. How is this in any way bad for children? That is just it; there isn’t anyone harmed in any way. So keep Santa Claus alive for them while they are young.

Are we going to take away the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny too? These are all a wonderful parts of childhood. There is no harm letting children believe in anything. It feeds their imagination to help them be able to create a world of make believe and brings to light things that serve all of mankind. If we didn’t get their creative juices flowing, then where would cures for illnesses come from? They have to be able to be creative when the get older to find these treatments or cures.

What would this world be without dreams? Where would the story books and happily ever after endings be found? Are we going back into the dark ages? Where there weren’t any books and we lived in caves. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Some may not believe or wish for their children to get hung up on a myth, they have that right. Yet some use to think the world was flat, they were wrong. A trip to the moon use to be a myth, yet later on it did become reality.

Think of how Santa Claus helped gain business for several companies. They sure aren’t complaining about this issue. Without creativeness how would we come to learn our talents?  Everything we use in today’s world came from someone’s imagination and creativeness. For example: radio transmissions, movies, television, cell phones and computers. A lot of things we rely on or own for entertainment would never have been around if we had not given our children the freedom to create and imagine
