Here are a few ideas to use the hearts:
Candy Heart Garland:
Materials:
As many crochet hearts as you want for the desired length, 1\8" wide ribbon in the color of your choice.
Tie the crochet candy hearts together using the ribbon.
If you want to tie the ends of the garland to a chair or stair railing then cut a length of ribbon. Pull through one end of heart. With the ribbon ends even, knot to side of heart leaving the tails to tie your chair sides or stair railing.
Candy Heart Plant Decoration:
Materials:
One crochet heart in the color of your choice, one Bamboo skewer found in the house wares section of most stores, 2 colors of 1\8" wide ribbon, craft glue.
Tie the two ribbons around the top of the skewer. (It is the skewer's pointed end that you will push into the dirt.) Run a line of glue in the center of the heart from top to bottom. Place skewer in the glue making sure to that the ribbon's knot is in the glue as well. Let dry. Place in plant.
Candy Heart Doorknob Decoration:
Materials:
Three crochet hearts in the colors of your choice, 2-3 different colors of 1\8" wide ribbon, Craft glue and tape.
Cut all three ribbons about 33" long and knot one end together. Tape knot end of ribbon to some cardboard, a book or table, anything that will give you a base to braid on. Braid the ribbon until about 9" of ribbon is left to hang free. Secure end of braid by wrapping a piece of tape temporarily around the ribbon.
Loop the top portion of the ribbon so as a doorknob will easily fit through. Knot at this point using a dab of craft glue to secure the knot. Glue the three hearts down the rest of the braid. Let dry and remove tape from braid.
