We need to take the time to appreciate the “Little Things in Life”
We waste far too much time wanting things instead of appreciating what we already have. We have a tendency to take our friends and family for granted. We need to take the time to balance our life between work and pleasure. No one's life is perfect! We have the ability to make ours a joyful and happy existence! The happiest people we meet in our lives are the people who have learned to appreciate the “Little Things in Life”. They are the people who appreciate and are thankful for everything wonderful in their lives. We need to learn even though life is not perfect, it is amazing. We should all take the time to appreciate our family and friends. They are here now and will not be with us forever!
We should not be miserable and bitching about the people and things around us. We should appreciate and enjoy life, including all the wonderful people we love and care about! We are surrounded by beauty and all we have to do is to open our eyes and see! Life is a balancing act, and we need to stop and appreciate all its wonders. One of the most important things is for us to use our time wisely. Work is a means of contributing to society and makes it possible for us to provide for our families. We need to take time to enjoy our friends and families. How wonderful is it to take the time to enjoy the scent a rose? There is no need to spend a lot of money to be able to enjoy life. A picnic at the park or in your yard is a great way to stay close to people you love. A walk in the woods lets you enjoy all of nature wonders. Learn how great it is to feel the energy of the ocean. Teach your children the power of the waves, or just the pure miracle of what our ocean means to us. These are pleasures that cannot be bought! These are the wonders of nature, and everyone should learn to appreciate these gifts that are right at our fingertips.
Many years ago my nieces brought me a bouquet of little daisies that they gathered from our lawn. There were twenty or more miniature daisies, neatly arranged into a perfect bouquet. They were so proud and it is a moment I will never forget. These little daisies were given with love, it was a little thing; but it is a very precious moment. The thought was straight from their heart. The “simple things" in our life are the things that end up being the most important things that we treasure the most. Money does not buy you happiness. The “little things" in life are what will bring us true and lasting happiness!
Remember how great it is to walk outside after a rainstorm. The air is clear and fresh and the flowers are clean and beautiful. These are moments we cannot buy. What a miracle it is to watch the birth of a newborn child or to hold such innocence for the first time? To know how wonderful it feels when our friends are there with a smile when we need them. We need to stay focused on the little things that bring us so much pleasure. The other stuff will always be there. In essence, it is the "little things" in life that have the ability to make us truly happy. The simple pleasures in life that bring us the most pleasure and teach us what life is all about!
