I'm the girl with the broken wing,
that was kept in a cage
so they could hear me sing.
I'm the girl that they locked up tight,
that slept alone in the dark of the night.
I'm the girl that smiled when you passed
but you didn't see me from behind the glass.
I'm the girl that one day you will see
my broken wing healed
and i will be set free.

Poetry: An angel's wings
Falling into a deep pit of darkness
Never to see the light of day again
I took the prescriptions I had with me
To end
With One Angel Wing
With one angel wing, an angel stands
Ever awaiting the Lord's commands.
Angels, with two wings, can fly
My angel is headless
But tall she does stand
Criss-crosses of purple
And wax in her hand
A soft glow above her
Spun glass for
I'm the girl with the broken wing,
that was kept in a cage
so they could hear me sing.
I'm the girl that they locked up tight,
An Angel's Wings of
iridescent greens and blues
Shine to heaven with beautiful hues
to tell the lord their watching out
