Are you a parent or incoming parent who is looking for guidance in raising a baby? Have you considered or started the process of sleeping in the same bed with your infant? If you have, you are definitely on the wrong track. This is one of the dumbest ideas in existence, as far as I am concerned. By reading this article, you are going to learn a variety of reasons why co-sleeping with your baby is not a wise idea.

Suffocation is a strong possibility. This can lead to your baby’s suffocation. There is a high risk that you will roll on top of your baby or squeeze it between your wife or husband while you are sleeping, possibly crushing the baby to death.

There is another way that sharing your bed can be fatal to your baby. You are likely to accidentally knock it off the bed.

Co-sleeping with your baby can turn it into a punching bag. You are likely to accidentally kick him or her several times throughout the night.

Engaging in this practice can leave a disgusting mess. Your baby is very likely to drool on your bed sheets and blanket.

Your bed is not a natural habitat for your baby. It is supposed to sleep in a crib that will keep it from getting out.

You will put yourself into a position to have a hard time sleeping at night. It will be almost impossible for you to sleep if constant contact is made between you and your baby or you have to worry about protecting your baby from harm.

This is likely to derail your baby’s development. Babies probably need to sleep in a secure closed space to grow and reach their full physical, mental and emotional capabilities.

You will probably buy yourself a ticket to the big house. If you are caught sleeping in the same bed with your baby, you are probably going to be arrested and charged with child endangerment.

This is unusual and dangerous in addition to being against the norms of society. Common sense should tell any rational person that it does not make any sense to sleep in the same bed with a baby.

You have learned plenty of arguments against co-sleeping with your baby. It is your duty to follow this advice in order to properly care for your baby and avoid having serious problems.
