The number eight is a fascinating yet very balanced number that can reveal a lot about the nature of our objective reality and can also provide stability and constancy in these difficult times. The number eight can be used in a variety of ways and can thus become a sigil of purpose, focus and ultimately enlightenment.

So what could the number eight represent and how could the number eight be used in our daily life? Well here are four of my views and experiences with the number eight:

Eight festivals:

The basic festivals of nature are represented by the number eight: Winter solstice, Imbolc or Candlemass, Spring Equinox, May Day, Summer Solstice, Lammas, Autumn Equinox and Halloween. These eight festivals represent the wheel of the year and the cycle of life and when followed will provide much relief, constancy and stability. The number eight thus can represent a stable way of looking at the world around us and gives us a way of living with purpose and integrity.

Fulfillment of the chakras:

The number eight represents a fulfillment of the bodily chakras and thus becomes a gateway to higher planes of existence. The number eight can thus guide you higher into your search for truth. After the stability of the seasons and the stability of the chakras, the number eight will thus guide you higher in your quest as you go beyond the bodily focus.

Financial Goals:

Ironically the number eight can also represent financial stability since at a higher level it represents seasonal and earthly stability before it extends the chakra systems. It thus presents a real physical representation of solid energy, which in purely human terms often becomes associated with money. Yet money is merely the energy of stability rather than a physical entity, so the number eight can represent your physical stability.

Power:

The number eight is a very empowering number, for all of the reasons above. It allows stability at many levels not just the physical and allows for a keen focus of mind and body so that goals can be accomplished. After the stability of physical reality and the stability of the chakra systems the number eight thus leads to a higher realm of stability and focus. Thus the number eight presents a real foundation for personal empowerment.

As you look around the world you will find many instances of the number eight. It will appear everywhere the more that you seek it and it will reveal its true purpose in the places that the number eight is found.
