Poetry: Autumn leaves

by Carol Campbell

Created on: February 10, 2010

A playful creature
in all its glory.
A dainty whisper
that tells a story.
Hanging high in utter pride.
Grasping life with every stride.
A restless and enduring soul,
this little spirit will grow old.
With all its tenacious splendor,
will gracefully surrender.
