Checking your computer history is very simple. Whether you want to check which websites you recently visited or you want to clear history, this guide will tell you in the most simple form as much about computer history as possible.
Now you have probably heard of an Internet browser- such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari. Each of these has many features but one of the most predominant feature is viewing and clearing your recent history. But each browser views your website history in a different way. So this guide will prevent difficulties and give a clear guide for each Internet browser on how to view recent history.
If you do not know which browser you are using, and you are using a Windows computer you are most likely using a Windows Computer. To view history on Internet Explorer, click the little star next to the tab (just above the content of the website you are viewing). You can also press CTRL+H to get the same result. If you wish to clear history on Internet Explorer, then click tools> delete browsing history. If you can not see the tools option, right click next to the tab and make sure the menu button is ticked.
Firefox is even easier then Internet Explorer. Select history to view all recent pages. To delete history, select tools then CTRL+ Shift+ DEL. If you can not see the tools option, right click next to the tab and make sure the menu button is ticked.
Clearing history on a Safari browser can be found here. Viewing history information can be found here.
For information on Opera, click here.
If you wish to delete all Internet browsing history, I would recommend using this helpful program to clear all history of websites visited on every browser you have used. It can be found here.
This guide aimed in assisting you in clearing all website history. There are obviously many different browsers, which means many different ways of clearing history. As such, this guide has not got every browser included. However, generally clearing history can be found in the tools section, and viewing history can be found under the tool or view options. This depends on the browser of course, and if you are still not sure feel free to contact me on Helium or search Google for the answer (most of the time you will get the information you need for this kind of problem).
