10 things you would like to say to a rude customer

I work for a Office Supply Store and I deal with my share of rude customers. Here are my top 10 things I would like to say to rude customers:

1. I'm Sorry, I didn't graduate from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry so I can't make my register magically cater to your needs.

2. You said you left you coupon on the kitchen table? Well go back home and get it!

3. Take you screaming brat out of the Store!

4. I don't get paid enough to be your designated shopper or to hold your hand throughout the store because obviously, you can't think for yourself.

5. We only sell things for the 21 century. We don't sell parts for your 1929 typewriter.

6.This is America. You need to learn to speak English if you want to be served.

7. You seemed to know more about my job than I do, why don't you apply for a job here. We are hiring.

8. When you forgot your receipt at home, did you also forget to shower? (for those who don't practice personal hygiene)

9.Customer is always right? This time you are wrong!

10. Go ahead get me fired...you will be doing me a great favor!

Not all of my customers are rude. I have more nice customers than the rude ones.  I do show good customer service no matter how I am treated but there is no law saying that we have to take that abuse.  Good customer service doesn't always help. But there should be some laws that will protect people who work in Retail when they encounter abusive customers. The problem is they are afraid to stand up for themselves in fear of losing their job or worse. I would never say what have listed above but I want to say them. I don't make a lot of money to be treated like that. And no one else who works in Retail should be either.

Another thing that really upsets me is when customers come and destroy our store or let their kids run all over the place and break things and leave it. I don't understand why people would destroy a store like that, tear packages, and leave it expecting the associates to clean it up. That should be put in the catagory as shoplifting. We have to damage out all that stuff.  Our sales go down from the amount of damage customers do to our store more than we get shoplifted.  It is sad to see that happening and no one does anything about it.
