“The Men who stare at goats” is a comedy/war movie directed by the famous American actor, film producer and director Grant Heslov. This movie was released on 15th October, 2009 in the U.K and the story of this movie based on a book under same title written by British Journalist and documentary film-maker Jon Ronson. The story of this movie revolves around a frustrated journalist and his continuous attempt to find a great story, and later he follows an ex-American soldier to Iraq.

Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor) works as a journalist in a local newspaper, Ann Arbor Daily Telegram. One day, he interviews a local guy, who informs him about the top-secret unit (New Earth Army) specializes in psychic abilities. Later Bob’s wife divorced him for his one-armed editor. Bob is devastated and trying to find a great story to get back at his wife.

He goes to Kuwait to look into the Iraq war and to find a story. He meets Lyn Cassady (played by George Clooney, one of the most talented members of New Earth army) in a local hotel and follows him to Iraq. So the story tells us about the history and the activities of New Earth Army. It also tells us about the journey of Bob and Lyn in the Iraq and how they are able to find out about the conspiracy behind New Earth Army.

The story of this movie mainly based on a 2004 non-fictional book written by Ron Jonson. But later famous British script-writer Peter Straughan re-wrote the story. It's a slow-paced comedy movie full of dark humour.  Journalist Bob mainly narrates the whole story, and sometimes other characters share their memories with him. Scottish Actor Ewan McGregor portrays the character of a troubled journalist Bob Wilton in this movie. Bob is having a mid-life crisis and his wife left him for a better and successful man. He is heart-broken and continuously trying to find a big story to prove himself. So he goes to Kuwait and runs into a legendary ex-military guy, Lyn Cassady. He also discovers that, Lyn is one of the psychic spies, so he travels with him into the Iraq to get a story. To be honest with you, I am really disappointed with his acting. He always looks bored, tired and impatient on the screen. He has the same facial expression for different situations. I mean it's so annoying. Even, when he thinks something or says something funny still he looks irritated. It's seems like someone forced him to act in this film, and he is in a great hurry to finish it. He is the protagonist of this movie,
