Top five jewelry necessities for women

When I think of essential, I think of versatility. The economy isn't doing so hot, but that doesn't mean you can't look hot with just a few pieces of versatile jewelry. These pieces should be able to go from office setting to a night out and then breakfast with your best friends. These pieces shouldn't break your budget though and they should be items you can build onto.

The Necklace:

For the most versatile of necklaces go with a simple small rope style chain in either silver or gold tones. It is best to have at least one size of this chain, 16 inch. This can be worn under button down shirts, peeking through just a little bit, it can be worn over high neck sweaters for a sparkly touch, and a pendant can be added to change the look. If you have it in your budget, invest in both a 16 inch and a 22 inch chain, as the length difference can completely change your accessory look, or can be worn together.

The Large Carat Ring:

Every girl likes to have a little bling in her jewelry box. But, that bling doesn't have to cost you a fortune. The beauty of CZ is now amazing compared to what it was 20 years ago. The techniques for creating these gemstones has advanced and the sparkled of them is eye catching. A simple large carat CZ silver ring can be priced at under $20! So, it is very budget friendly. But if CZ is not your style, go for a stone like Amethyst, Topaz, Peridot, Quartz, Citrine, Feldspar. These stones are the lower priced stones of the gemstone market. You can often find a large carat light purple amethyst for under $40 in a silver band. If you want to go gold, you can find most of these stones in a solitaire for under $100. But, no matter what style or stone you choose, the large carat ring will add that bling to any accessory outfitting.

The Simple Hoop Earring:

A simple hoop earring is probably one of the most versatile of all earrings. A smaller sized hoop earring can go from office to evening wear with ease. In either silver or gold tones, they never go out of style, and will always help keep your earlobes from feeling naked.

The Cuff Bracelet:

A good sized chunky cuff or a thinner sized cuff are both great to take from day to evening looks. They can be worn with short sleeved, over long sleeves and give your wrist that added pizazz. Gold or silver toned, etched, brushed, highly polished, hammered, with or without stones embedded, or maybe even a beaded cuff, they all work for your style and can look great with an suit, dress, or jeans and a tee shirt.
