It is with futility one contemplates the notion of un-ringing a bell. So, with the bell being rung, aftereffects of the action are judged by humans and placed into categories of good and evil. This critical thinking comes in western civilization through Aristotelian philosophy. Bell ringing is good or evil, and no room for disagreement is allowed.
If it were scientifically proven that the sound waves emitted from a particular bell being rung interacted through quantum mechanics to form tectonic disturbance strong enough to cause the recent Haitian earthquake; perception of bell ringing would change from positive to extremely negative.
Good and evil is a matter of perception. If one’s lake swimming brings intimate contact with a leech on the calf, reaction of desire for immediate separation action from the slimy, black, squiggly hemaphotobe ensues.
With any luck, revulsion (evil) can be minimized, and feelings of well being (good) can be restored. Judgment of the evil nature of hematophy is not perceived by the leech, however. The leech’s perception is unknown. What is known is that the leech is hungry. It is simply doing what God created it to do.
While uncomfortable and repulsive leeches are regarded as one of God’s lesser creatures, they are God’s nonetheless. God does not remove the evil leech from us. We must do it ourselves. To blame God for creating leeches and asking Him to remove them from our calves would be stupid. Knowing one is being protected by a loving God as leech removal is accomplished; is smart.
God is not powerful. God is power. Humans have the choice to use the power of God, their own, or that of the Devil. Depending on the frequency and intensity of use of each of these powers, one becomes a servant of each of these entities.
Where thy treasure is, there thy heart will be also. Expressed colloquially; you will become what you love. This is issued as a warning. If one loves money, servant hood of the commodity materializes. Anything may be inserted into this equation to separate one from God. Penitence from selfish desires and acceptance of divine grace is the pathway to peace, happiness, and freedom from leech attachment.
The power of God comes on judgment day when decisions regarding eternal spiritual abidance locations are made. It is important to leave these decisions in the hands of the Creator of the universe.
