Much to my dismay, I recently joined a home based business with a Wellness company and "started" to fail miserably. The problem was not with the company, the products I tried were awesome! First mistake: I was so excited about the company and the products and ran out and told all of my friends and family "they had to get in on this company it was going to be great". Problem was, I knew it was awesome but I did the research - then I tried to push "my" feelings onto all of them. Big mistake, what I encountered was that none of them wanted to even listen. How many times have you done the same thing? First lesson: STOP TALKING - and START LISTENING. If we could only Listen - we would hear what that person is looking for - then, we could possibly "share" with them what we have to offer. How would you like it if someone knocked on your door, and as you were opening it, the person barged right into your home? You see, thats what we do - its almost like - get ready get set and GO GO GO! We dont give them any opportunity to say yes, maybe or no - "we" assume what they want.
Second lesson: Regardless of what your upline or business partners tell you - being "pushy" is NOT OKAY. When was the last time you appreciated someone who wouldnt allow you to say NO? There is NOTHING wrong with letting someone take the time to look your opportunity over. If you are so afraid they wont come back - get out of the business! You will not be successful! Any kind of network marketing business HAS to be based on RELATIONSHIPS! Why do I say that - because when you take the time to build relationships - people Trust you. If you have an honest trustworthy relationship with someone - you have built a foundation. People that trust you will be more apt to listen to what you have to say. In saying this, Im not talking about being sneaky - if you arent sincere in building relationships - get out of the business! Success is built on people helping people to achieve their goals. You will never be a success if your only desire is to become wealthy on your own.
Third lesson: Home businesses arent always easy - you MUST keep your goal in your mind at all times. Keep that "WHY" right out in front of you. When I say "WHY", Im talking about why you want to succeed - what are your goals, your dreams? When you can visualize your WHY - it will drive you.
Well, as I have said earlier, I have recently started my home business and in a short time have learned alot. My purpose is: no matter how long it takes me to reach my goals - I know, I will have built a team of LEADERS. Leaders that people admire and trust because that is how I have decided to run my business. Would you like to know one more thing - when you teach someone to lead - they will teach their people and NOW you have an awesome home business that you can all be proud of. I hope this was helpful to you. I have done alot of research on the topic and these are basic truths but well worth putting into practice.
