It is not about making cheap calls, it is about making FREE calls (to anywhere in the world) and you cannot do this with a cell phone; however you can make free international calls online. Not only can you make free calls, but you can also make free video calls if both people have a web came. In my opinion if I had to choose from paying for an international call by using a cell phone, or making a free international video call I would choose the free option with better features any day.

It's called instant messaging programs such as Skype or MSN. Either one will allow you to make international calls for free. Both also allow you to see and hear the person you are talking to through a web camera video call. Both are free and easy to sign up for as well. If you are considering getting one of these for yourself I would consider Skype over MSN. Mainly due to the fact that if you have a weaker internet signal, Skype will lose its internet connection much less frequently than MSN. Also a lot of people claim that the image quality is better in a Skype call than an MSN call. Personally I fail to see the difference in the video image quality, but a lot of other people would swear that there is a difference. One other benefit of Skype is that a lot of businesses (especially in America) that are seeing the need to improve their internet services so they have begun getting Skype for their business. So some companies have the option, as you are looking on their website, to use Skype to call them for free or to instant message them for product or service customer assistance. So why would you pay money to call your best friend in Spain, when you can do a video chat and see their face and hear their voice for as long as you want for free?

So if you are interested in getting Skype it is pretty easy. All you have to do is click the download button and follow the easy step by step instructions. Just note that when making your Skype name, I would use your real name, so it is easy for your friends to find you.

Like I said before, I recommend Skype over MSN because of the better quality, but the choice is up to you.
