Lovers Say
There is a thing that lovers say
Perhaps it just matters that wedding day?
"I'll be here through good and bad"
And there are bad times to be had
They will keep their vow to always be there
Even when you say that you don't care
They know it is just from rage
And everyone has it in this day and age
They are there to share the pain
In hope that all your problems wane
Even if their body isn't right beside
They will always be there inside
Reaching out from your soul
Still trying to fill the empty hole
So even though you can't see
trying to heal will they always be
There is a thing that lovers say
And I know it doesn't just matter that wedding day

Poetry: What lovers say
"At Dawn"
Watching
a lustrous
pearlescent foam
dance across
the blue-green skin
of an endless sea
serendipitously riding
My Lover's Words
She opens her mouth
And from its delicate depths
Spew sharp, slender spikes -
Dripping with curare -
Which penetrate

You said I love you, but what you meant was I hate you.
Baby, I'm home! Oh hey! How was work today?
It was OK, just like any other day.
But there was one thing, that stayed on
