                                                                        The Pros And Cons Of Living On A Military Base



Congratulations, you have finally decided to enter military life! Everything is in place; your duty station,  finances, and perhaps even your family. So where does a person go from here? You have to figure out where to live of course!

I will first begin by saying that the decision to live on post is an advantage in itself. Most military bases are designed so that it is easy  to find places and even people. A individual will be closer to his or her unit  and won’t have to worry about the daily hassle of  commuting from far distances.  Army regulations are often very strict an will not tolerate tardy soldiers.

 Military housing offers several villages to choose from. In  each community, the houses are spacious and equipped with appliances. Carports or garages are also available to soldiers and their families.

 Aside from homes, military bases devote itself  to providing  constructive facilities that can be used at affordable rates.On post offers shopping centers, fitness gyms, schools, churches, and more that are  conveniently available within your reach.  It is also safer than living in regular communities.

 The reasons are quite obvious.  Random car  searches and identity clearance  is essential to even entering a military base. If a person doesn’t carry proper identification  proving that he or she is either a soldier, resident or worker the individual will not be allowed to enter on the premises. Neighborhoods are close knit and the Mp’s  patrol the area constantly to ensure the safety of those who live there.

 Another advantage to living  on post is that  soldiers and their spouses are given the opportunity  to be a part of an area that is created specifically for them. Sometimes living somewhere with just civilians can be stressful. There are community services  that work with families to provide them with support when they need it the most.  Some of the
