"Tokens of affection" is used to describe the true nature of showing your affection for your children. Affection can mean many things when we set out to buy the perfect gift for our children. Affection is showing interest in your childs dreams and ambitions in life. Concern for their well-being and wanting them to know they mean more than anything in this world to you.

Buying them an expensive gift shows that you believe that they are responsible enough to take care of this gift. It gives them a sense of self-esteem in themselves. Teaching children responsibility and value of expensive gifts will become a reward for their future. Being rewarded in this way shows trust and true devotion in your children.This will build their self-confidence at an early age that you as parents have faith in their trustworthiness.   

Expensive gifts is only in the eye of the beholder. It can means many things to many different people. A gift of piano or violin lessons for your children for example. It teaches them something that will be of benefit in their future. Children can learn and grow in knowledge of music. That can be very expensive, but would it not be worth it? Tokens of affection for your children! An expensive gift of a college fund for your children's education. A big token of affection! 

You want your children's affection and love always. As parents, we want our children to know without a shadow of a doubt that we love them unconditionally. If buying an expensive gift will bring you closer to a child or the child grows in knowledge from it, then it is totally worth it in the end. Seeing the happiness and excitement on your children's face are treasured moments in time. These will be memories for both your children and yourself you will store away and cherish over a lifetime. Being able to express your affection in this manner will encourage a child to give generously and share with others throughout their lives.

Time is a free gift we can give our children, but sadly some people treat it as an expensive gift that they cannot afford to give to their children. This is the worst kind of suffering for children. Buy this expensive gift of time, they will remember your affection and sacrifice for their self-worth. Show them affection in as many ways as you can. The valuable result will be priceless.
