                                                           How To Find A Support Group For Military Spouses

Deployment is the most feared occurrence through out a couple's journey together in the military. However, it is also inevitable. No soldier stays back nowadays, so it's important for wives to have access to support groups in their time of need.The best way to search for a good support group is to first seek counsel of members of your husband's brigade. During deployment times, groups are constantly open to spouses.

There are several ways to find military support groups that are available at your duty station.  Here are a list of methods of finding a group that is suitable for you;

1) Speak To Your Unit’ s F.R.G./ Rare Detachment leaders -  The F.R.G.  of your soldier’s unit is the place to find out any information on groups ,  and individualized counsel.  It is mainly consists of  military spouses .  Most of the women here volunteer their time assisting families and providing them with  resources.

2) Go To The Nearest Welcome Center- Every post has a welcome center where families can gather pamphlets, and make basic inquiries. 

2) Check the local Newspaper-  Most bases provide a newspaper that focus primarily on  military affairs.  Scan the classifieds section to see if there are any groups available within your city.

3)  If all else fails, take your search online!  - There are  several  websites that will provide information on groups,  clubs, and meetings that support military spouses.
