Tears like fire,
Pouring down my face,
Something so new,
So out of place.
As I remember,
Your body against mine,
Your hands on my waist,
Looking into each other's eyes,
With the same color blue.
There's the smile,
So very much like mine,
We couldn't stop smiling,
We thought we'd last forever....
As I sit here and remember,
My heart continues to break.

Poetry: Lost love
by Olu Burrell
I think about you when I'm looking ahead
And also in moments of reminiscence
But do me a favor and don't ask me
To tell you
The man in the jacket, walking through snow,
His faithful friend, always in tow,
Forever smiling, happy look on his face,
Whatever
So there we were
Looking up at the sky,
Together.
Truly thought
That you and I
Could storm
Any kind of weather.
I still
Do not wait for me with bated breath,
because my heart dances to and fro.
Its chambers are hollowed and empty
it longs for
As a bird perched on the edge of its nest
eyes searching the unknown world outside
strengthening its wings, yearning to fly
