For every man there is a woman somewhere in this world who will complement his personality, no matter how strange or unusual it may be. If you are like most women, however, you want a husband who will love you, respect you, and be your partner in happiness, as well as in adversity. In that case, there are some personality traits which you should avoid in a prospect for matrimony:

1. The egotist – This man is all about himself. His needs have to be met, his wishes have to be fulfilled, and his plans have to be followed. He is oblivious to the needs and wishes of his wife and children. He will spend most of his time with his friends, his career, and his hobbies, while expecting you to give up yours. He will expect you to serve him whenever it pleases him, and never once will it occur to him that you might be tired or would like to do something different.

When you are dating an egotist, he will spend most of the time talking about himself. He will never ask you what you would like to do on a date. He may go along with your suggestions, but will do so only if you have picked something he likes.

2. The control freak – Everything is planned to the last detail. You have no say in your life. He decides where you live, what you buy, if you work and where, what you eat, what you wear, and where you go on vacation. He firmly believes that he is making all these decisions for your own good.

When dating, a control freak will decide where you go. He will order for you in restaurants. If you make a suggestion where to go on a date, he will find a reason why that is not a good idea.

3. The tightwad – This is a man who takes frugality over the top. If you marry him, forget about new clothes, nice furniture, or a cool car. Also forget about being warm or living in a well-lit environment. He will keep you on a very tight budget and hoard your money for a future that will never come.

While you are dating, this man will take you to a restaurant because he has a two-for-one coupon, and then expect you to pay at least half the bill. He will whip out his calculator to figure out how much each of you owes. If he tips, he will leave a small amount, usually 10%, figured out to the penny.

4. The addict – A man with a serious addiction will ruin you financially. You will have the added heartache of watching the man you love decline before your eyes.

Usually you will be able to spot an addiction during your dating period. Don’t believe his promises of getting
