She was Ethel to his Fred,
each so different, withal they wed.
A romantic comedy with highs and lows,
subsequently they'd contrive a show.
Some thought their marriage would end in divorce,
however together they sailed true loves course.
The perfect couple each so unique,
forty-five years, together complete.
