Graduation party ideas are all around you as you prepare for graduation. You may feel that you owe it to the graduate and your guests to have the best possible party. The best fun can clearly mean different things to different people. The guests you have will be able to define what works for them. However there are many other things to consider. Amongst other things to consider there are the venue you have, the type of party the graduate would like to have, the budget, the theme you would like and importantly the time you have to prepare. Time is indeed quite a defining factor if your are running short of it.

There are lots of great themes that you can use. Themes like Mexican, New York, Mardi Gras, Wild West, Star Trek, Luau and Superheroes are quire excellent. The advantage of one of these themes is the focus it gives to the party, the images you can use in the decorations and graduation invitations, the food that you can serve and the easy to pick favors and music. There is a huge sense of fun for your guests in getting dressed up and enjoying a great graduation party. However if you are short of time and have started late the  you should probably pick a theme for which you can definitely find supplies. The very late organisers that start with a week or tow to go will want their guests to be able to find costumes and the hosts to be able to get all the decorations, food and music they need.

If you are using the graduation or the graduate as the theme then you have a great focus for the party. The party will be easy for guests to understand and the hosts to get to work on all the supplies. This one is simple to do if you start late as you will have all the photos, memorabilia, fun graduate items and their home to show as part of the party. You need to top up what you have with balloons, banners, streamers and tinsel which should not be too hard to find. The key thing with being late would be the graduation invitations. Getting the invitations out very quickly and phoning guests to see who can come are vital to do.

If you have great venues available like a theme park, bowling alley, ice skating arena, beach or park then you can create a fantastic party based on the venue. There are so many things you can do that you will be certain to delight your guests with your graduation party ideas. However if you are late then you will struggle to get a venue and may need to use your home. In that case you would need to decide just what you can do. You can clean, decorate and can set up a great party. However you will not be able to do paintwork, the garden and major cleaning exercises.

Taking it all into account there are still brilliant graduation party ideas no matter how late you leave it.
