Being a stay at home writer is hard work. Everyone thinks that you are sitting around doing nothing all day. That is not the case at all. You have to work hard in order to earn enough money to live off of. You never know if you are going to meet your goals or not because there is only so much work. People often ask how a stay at home writer finds enough things to write about. The truth is, if you are a writer, you can always find things to write about.
When your work from home, no matter what the job is, you have to discipline yourself. A stay at home writer is no different. You have to figure out how much money you need to make and then go for it. It can sometimes be the biggest challenge a writer can face. In short, it is hard work that people outside the realm don't understand.
Being a stay at home writer means that you sit at your computer for hours. It means coming up with new and fresh ideas that no one else has thought of before. It also means being creative on a daily basis. That isn't always easy when you run across writer's block. It is possible though. You have to gear yourself up to do the work and get it done.
Being a stay at home writer has great advantages. You can sit in your robe all day long if you want to do your work. You can get up and move around at will. You can eat your lunch whenever you want to and you can even clean a little bit in between your writing. That is what can often give you the inspiration that you need to write some more.
There is a great deal of freedom in writing from home. You can do it at any time, day or night. No one has you one a deadline except yourself. You can write about whatever you want in many cases. In other cases, it gives you the chance to learn and grow as you go along. In other words, it is a very rewarding experience if you love to write and you don't want to work outside the home.
There are plenty of writing jobs out there that allow you to work at home. You can even create your own income from writing when you write for specific sites like Helium. There are no limits to what you can do as a stay at home writer. The biggest snag are those people who look down on you because they don't take it seriously. You don't have to worry about those people. You only have to worry about what is right for you.
If you have thought about being a writer who works from home, put a lot of thought into it. Set yourself up to win before you quit your day job. Know how the system works and use it to advance yourself. Put great effort into it and you will get great returns.
