Poetry: Someone else

by Alex Fitzsimmon

Created on: February 05, 2010

The heart is growing weak

the years spin  quickly

turning faster as  I gasp

for air

You didn't care anymore

A heart that once was invincible

strong as steel

has now fallen

to the way side

Abandon by careless

restless and cold feelings

that flicker as the fire dies

Will not be awaken by

howling wind

Will not be aroused

by the patter of the rain

Will not remain

After the earth has shaken and crumbled

leaving dust behind

finding another love

deserving of mine
