Poetry: You have my heart

You have my heart
Thirty-five years passed
Thirty-five years
Of being a part
Yet finally I floated
High
I searched and found
Blue skies
That leads straight to
You
Thirty-five year of
Separation
That sealed us like
Sticky glue
Bonding together
You have my heart

Cracked with years
But never broken
A small gap
That you could fill
Thirty-five years
To remember first love
The conquest in the back seat
Fumbling hands and tennis shoes
Jeans, steamy windows
Drive in movies

You have my heart
Finally I have yours
Cemented together
Thirty-five years
Long time to wait
Yet together for an eternity
Proved to be our fate
You have my heart
