THIEF ON THE CROSS
On a hill called Calvary three men died.
They were put on a cross and crucified.
Two were thieves that died that day.
The other died so for our sins he could pay.
They were there and heard Jesus ask forgiveness for our sins.
They were there to see an old world die and a new world begin.
A world forgiven by a father and son’s grace
Because the son died in our place.
One thief asked to be remembered as they hung on their cross.
Jesus gave him comfort, and assured him he was not lost.
He forgave a man for his sins that he did not know.
Because of his faith mercy was shown.
