Forcibly resisting the closing of my eyes;
Negating my tired body's crying to relax;
For fear of the numbing takeover by,
The entity of dark, despairing nightmares
*
The dream spirits overcome the physical body
As it succumbs to the deprivation of sleep;
Becoming the masters of parody
As I unwilling fall into the deep
*
Iron bars hold down efforts to escape
As an evil video plays out
An actor hidden by an invisible dark cape
