Poetry: Nightmares

by Eloisa G.

Created on: February 04, 2010   Last Updated: February 05, 2010

Forcibly resisting the closing of my eyes;
Negating my tired body's crying to relax;
For fear of the numbing takeover by,
The entity of dark, despairing nightmares

*

The dream spirits overcome the physical body
As it succumbs to the deprivation of sleep;
Becoming the masters of parody
As I unwilling fall into the deep

*

Iron bars hold down efforts to escape
As an evil video plays out
An actor hidden by an invisible dark cape
What is this about?
