Twitter is a social media website which can benefit any online business, blog or website. Using Twitter for social networking is a fast and free method of generating income from traffic to your website or blog, and one which brings quality visitors. There are some advantages to choosing Twitter over other networks, and if you use Twitter in addition to networking on other social websites there is even more benefit to be gained.
After you register at Twitter you can add one link to your profile and write a brief bio about yourself. You should also upload an image to identify yourself or your business, otherwise a default Twitter logo will show up with your username every time you tweet. A tweet is a short message seen by your followers at Twitter, and which can be found from the Twitter search box.
◊ How Twitter can benefit your blog.
It is very easy to set up a feed from your blog, using an application or a Twitter tool, and update each new blog post automatically at Twitter. You can write your own tweets and provide a link to any of your own blog posts. When you tweet a blog post you can give the title, a brief description or an extract, and create a short url which will lead to the post on your blog.
You will be surprised how many people want to follow you and read your blog when you are regularly tweeting and interacting with other people on Twitter. You can share interesting updates by retweeting them to your followers. When some of your own updates get retweeted more people will see them and visit your blog.
◊ How Twitter can benefit your website.
When you use Twitter to share photo and video links, news items, trivia, questions or comments that invite responses, your tweets will get noticed. Some of your followers will share your updates in retweets, and you will get more visitors to your website from Twitter links.
Any small business or large company website can benefit from Twitter. A Twitter profile can be customized to show a company logo or business branding in the background. Having someone to write regular tweets will build awareness of your company or business brand.
◊ How Twitter can benefit your business ventures.
You should not be following thousands of people just to get followers back. Many of those people will not be interested in your ventures. By steadily gaining genuine followers at Twitter you can tweet the links to programs you recommend, and suggest sites you personally find reliable and trustworthy. That way you can get more active referrals and affiliates for your money making ventures.
A tweet is an update and should not be used for promotional hype. When you are promoting a program or business opportunity you do need to be considerate to your Twitter followers and other users. Never send spam messages or repeat updates that are little more than referral links.
When you use Twitter as a social network, your blog, website or business venture can benefit greatly from all the extra visitors who generate additional ad revenue, affiliate sales and referral commission.
