Everyday I pass them on the street
Happy couples smiling as we greet.
My heart longs for their perfectness
Instead I only find my emptynest.
But who is to say what they hide away?
Perhaps perfection is found day by day?
I once believed to be the second half of the perfect pair
Instead I found myself alone with little left to share.
But for a moment, I found the same perfectness
And for that I believe I am blessed
